Silverminken has entered the building....

The very first Elan 310 in Norway has arrived.....




Finally arrived from Slovenia by truck.

A bit wider than the truck itself....3.22m is pretty wide.

Shrinkwrapped in plastic for the transportation.

Being lifted off the truck. Always a bit skeptical when boats are lifted, but it usually goes well.

Boat suspended so the truck can leave to pick up the second 310 bound for Norway (heading to Stavanger).

Move the boat over to a rugged trailer which is to be her home while she is sanded.

...look at those lines. Wow, she's a beauty all right!

All set in the trailer, so cut away the gladpack just enough for sanding. Keep the rest on so the dust doesn't spread too much over the boat.

Can't wait to see this stern plow through the waves!

Clean off the highway dust before moving.

Move the boat over to the sanding area. The tractor pushed her ever so slowly.

There. Parked.

The saildrive with flex-o-fold propeller. Nice to see that Elan don't use those annoying rubber seals anymore. They always seem to come off during the season.

The keel and bulb. Always get a lot of questions about the T-keel, so here's a picture of it. Pretty slim profile, but the attachment looks very solid.

Depth and log. Blind-plugged log.

Pretty serious angle on those rudders.
